Announced for Canadian Independent Music Awards
Toronto, Ontario (February 26, 2003) –
The country’s most prominent independent recording
artists were honoured at tonight’s Canadian Independent
Music Awards (“The Indies”) held at Toronto
club, The Phoenix Concert Theatre. The event, now in its
third year, launched the 20th anniversary of Canadian Music

The event, hosted by 102.1 the edge's Dave Bookman and The
Rheostatics' Dave Bidini, included live performances by
Carlito, Corb Lund Band, Doc Walker, Kathryn Rose, The Rheostatics,
Spirit Wind, The Weekend, and special guests The Trailer
Park Boys.
