Super Session: Satellite, Digital & Net Radio - Visions For The Future
Friday March 5, 2004 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Westin Harbour Castle Hotel

Old conventional radio or a future-tech crapshoot? Believe it or not, it's not an either-or proposition. The future looms in the form of Sirius and XM satellite radio applications at the CRTC, DAB radio in England and wireless telecom phone-radio streaming. But in this session, we'll be looking at ways to dip your toe in the technological water while keeping one foot planted firmly on the ground. Broadcasting visionaries debate the merits of broadband vs. narrowband, wireless, digital, interactivity, webcasting, and convergence and ask a few pointed questions about satellite radio's troublesome forays into local programming.
