Winner Announced For Canadian Music Week's
Urban Star Quest
Toronto, Ontario (March 5, 2004) ‚ Canadian Music Week announced today
Skitz, from Toronto, ON, as the grand prize winner of the Urban Star Quest.
Regional winners performed for fifteen minutes each last night at The Opera House
for a panel of industry experts.
Endorsed by Canada's newest urban export, Jully Black, presented
by Long & McQuade and hosted by FLOW 93.5's Hollywood Rich Fagon
and Kass P, Skitz walked away with the grand prize which includes
studio time with engineer/mixer Troy Bynoe from METALWORKS, Canada's
#1 recording studio; a HTD 4.5 high torque turntable from American
Audio; a MV-8000 production studio from Roland; a UT24/58 vocalist
wireless system from Shure; and web site design and hosting worth
$2500 from Simaltech.com.
CBC's Galaxie Rising Stars Award was also presented to Skitz who
received a cash prize of $2000.
