Brian Malouf

Born in Los Angeles, Brian began his musical career with a drum lesson on his ninth birthday. Playing his first professional gig at age fourteen, he continued with the drums and classical percussion until age 26 at which time he began pursuing his second passion - music and sound recording.

Combining live sound engineering with an apprenticeship in the studio with famed producer Dave Jerdan at Eldorado recording studio in Hollywood, Brian emerged in the early '80's as an up and coming studio engineer. Catching the eyes and ears of Michael Jackson and producer Quincy Jones as well as engineer extraordinaire Elliot Scheiner and producer Peter Wolf, he continued to specialize in mixing all manner of pop recordings for 13 years as an independent engineer/producer.

In 1994 he joined RCA records in New York as Sr. Vice President, Artists and Repertoire / Staff Producer, and made the move to the East Coast. While at RCA, he has continued to produce and mix artists as diverse as Everclear, The Calling, David Gray and Lisa Loeb while signing acts The Verve Pipe, Trik Turner, Skrape and Eve 6 among others. In all, Brian has participated in more than 30 gold, platinum, and multi platinum projects as either producer, mixer, engineer, or A&R man.
