Chris Byrnes

Chris Byrnes spent his first 24 years of his radio career working in New Zealand all areas of programming, marketing and talent development. A founding member of Australasia's most successful and profitable radio group, he served as More FM's Group Program Director for seven years, until he and his partners sold the company to CanWest in 1997. His international awards include Program Director of the Year, Promotions Director of the Year, and his stations were voted Station of the Year in 1993, 1996 and 1998. Moving to Canada in 1998 to take up a Corporate PD position, stations he worked for voted station of the year in 1998 and 1999. Byrnes started consulting full time in 2000 and in 2001 he joined forces with McVay Media, the worlds largest and most respect broadcast consultancy to offer clients on both sides of the border even better service.

Byrnes consults 20 stations in Canada in markets as large as Toronto and as small as Castlegar British Columbia. Internationally he consults in the USA, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
