JJ Johnston
Jim (JJ) Johnston has lived twenty-seven years of Radio. Currently, Jim is General Manager of the Toronto Cluster stations, which includes Edge 102, Q107, Mojo Radio and Energy FM.
Previously, JJ has held a variety of positions in Radio, including Vice President of Programming for Standard Broadcasting (General Manager of Mix 99.9), National Program Director for WIC Communications and National Program Director for Moffat Communications. He's been a successful Morning Man, NHL Hockey Sports Analyst/Commentator, Music Director and Radio News Anchor. He has successfully programmed Country, CHR, AC, Alternative, Classic Rock and AOR.
Jim has served on a various Boards throughout the years including BBM Board, Achilles Track Foundation and FACTOR, where he served as Chairman of the Board from 1997 to 1999. He has been awarded Canada's Program Director of The Year nine times in a variety of formats and has succeeded to becoming a member of the CAB Quarter Century Club. He is also a member of the 40 Under 40 Club.
JJ has a wife and two college kids, is a marathon runner (health nut) martial arts brown belt (judo), golfer guy, voracious reader, carpenter, financial staff consultant, improv trainer and all around excellent guy, eh.
