Jonas Nachsin

Jonas Nachsin has been President of Roadrunner Records, Inc. for the last 5 years. Previous to that title, he held the positions of Vice President of Marketing, and then General Manager before being named President in 1999.

Between 1992-1996 Nachsin was Product Manager at PolyGram Label Group and after a corporate realignment was named Senior Director of Marketing for Island Records. During that time he worked with groups such as the cranberries, Meat Puppets, and Paul Weller.

Between 1988-1992 he was Director of Sales and Marketing for Roadrunner, making this the second time around at the label for Nachsin. His first job in the music industry was as a sales person for now defunct one-stop distributor Win Records & Video, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Albany with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing.

Currently, Roadrunner boasts one of the premiere rock rosters in the world. Amongst the label's major acts that Nachsin has been associated with during his tenure are current chart-toppers Nickelback and Slipknot, as well as Stone Sour, Murderdolls, Killswitch Engage, Ill Nino, Soulfly, Type O Negative, Fear Factory, Coal Chamber, Sepultura, Machine Head, and many more. The label has also released critically acclaimed soundtracks such as Freddy Vs. Jason and Resident Evil as well as several MTV compilations including the 2-disc MTV2 Headbanger's Ball collection and MTV Return of the Rock Vol's 1 and 2.

Roadrunner Records is the label founded by current Chairman Cees Wessels in Holland in 1980. It is a highly respected international company, and recently entered into a joint venture partnership with Universal label Island Def Jam.
