Marc Cooper

Coop's career, performing his brand of eclectic guitar and vocal music, has taken him around the globe to 46 different countries, from China to Australia; from South Africa throughout all of Western and Eastern Europe. Throughout North, Central and South America audiences have warmed up to his music and Coop's enjoyed excellent attendance to his performances and workshops.

Coop has performed on stage with a variety of musicians such as Joe Walsh (Eagles), Steve Howe (Yes/Asia), Danny Gatton, Seymour Duncan, Pat Travers, Buster B. Jones, Michel Cusson (UZEB), Thom Bresh, Gregg Bissonnette, Carmine Appice, Alphonso Johnson (Santana, Weather Report) Uli Jon Roth, and Yngwie Malmsteen (where they embarked on a nine city tour of England), to name a few.

As an international artist/clinician he has shared the stage with many guitarists: Jan Akkerman, Jennifer Batten, Rick Derringer, Adrian Legg, Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert and many others. Coop has toured Turkey with drum sensation Dom Famularo to wild crowds and was captured on TV to a viewing audience of millions of people all across Europe on the Euro-Sky Network!

Coop has released 2 solo CDs in Canada entitled: "Shelter from the Storm" and "Speaking in Other Tongues" and can also be heard on a variety of other international artists listed on his website. He has a new American CD slated for a release this year entitled, "My Own Little Space".

Coop is the author of 6 guitar instructional books that come with CDs and cassettes for the music publishing company, Music Education Workshop. These books have sold in more than twenty countries.

Two of his guitar books, "Blues Jam Along" and "Hard Rock Jam Along" have been published by Music Sales/Amsco publishing and are sold worldwide.

Coop is a sought after international guitar teacher. He himself has studied with Howard Roberts, Steve Morse, Pat Martino, Joe Diorio, Ron Eschete, Mick Goodrick, Joe Pass and Robben Ford.
