Paul Ski
Paul Ski oversees all CHUM radio properties across Canada,
in addition to CHUM Radio Network and CHUM Radio Sales. He
is also a member of CHUM's Management Operating Group, a cross-functioning
team, reporting directly to the President and CEO, CHUM Limited,
that shares in the stewardship and strategic planning of all
of CHUM's business divisions.
Paul is a career broadcaster with an extensive background
in radio broadcasting having worked in many areas of management
at CHUM Radio over the past 28 years. Paul joined CHUM in
1972 at CFRA Ottawa and has also worked at CHUM's Halifax
radio properties before moving to Vancouver in 1981. Prior
to his current position, Paul was Vice President/General Manager
CHUM Western Operations including Vancouver stations CFUN-AM,
CKST-AM and CHQM-FM.
Paul received his Masters in Business Administration from
Simon Fraser University focusing on research, strategy development
and implementation. He is recognized as an expert in developing
strategic plans to reposition and brand radio stations, and
has spoken extensively on these topics to various broadcasters
and industry groups.
Throughout his career Paul has been actively involved in a
number of national and regional associations and industry
committees, including the Canadian Association of Broadcasters
(CAB) and the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters
(BCAB). He is a member of the BBM Radio Executive Committee
and Chairs the BBM Radio Technical Committee.
