Terry Scott
Terry's broadcast career began in 1975 at the age of 17 when
he landed a part-time job at CKOM Saskatoon during his final
year of high school. Since that time, Terry has been a radio/television
reporter and anchor at CKCK Radio & TV Regina, CKGM Montreal,
CFTR Toronto, CKLW Windsor/Detroit and CKSL/CIQM-FM London.
He joined Broadcast News in 1990 as the Supervising Editor
responsible for the editorial and commercial audio components
of BN.
In 1994 he moved to the Marketing/Administration side of BN
and has been instrumental in the development of new business
while servicing the existing client base.
Terry has long been a member of the Radio-Television News
Directors Association, and served for several years as RTNDA's
Awards Chair and Convention Coordinator. He received the RTNDA
Distinguished Service Award in 2000.
In June 2003, he was elected President of RTNDA Canada.
Terry is a former Big Brother and has been active in the Kinsmen
organization, having served as President of the London, Ontario
club.
He is a member of Scouts Canada and serves as a leader of
the 31st Burlington Beavers Colony.
Terry and his wife, Connie, are the proud parents of 6-year
old Rob and 5-year-old Lauren. When they're not busy on the
home front, the entire family is active in the Canadian Harvard
Aircraft Association, a volunteer group dedicated to the restoration,
preservation and display of vintage RCAF training aircraft.
