The British Are Coming (And Are They Pissed)
Saturday March 5, 2005 11:30AM
Fairmont Royal York

As they see it, we share the same Monarch, Privy Council, history, heritage, culture and language. So why do we give the U.S. the run of our economy under NAFTA, and give our British cousins - and their comparably-sized music industry - the shaft? The British delegation to Music Week 2005 has a dream of marketing to the U.S. via partners in the Great White North, but feels stymied by Canada's "churlish, unrealistic, even Dickensian approach to economics... the former Soviet bloc is more welcoming." So, mate, do you believe in free trade or wot?
