Keynote: Peter Jamieson
Saturday March 5, 2005 11:00AM
Fairmont Royal York

Peter Jamieson is chairman of the BPI, the organization which represents British record labels large and small, and whose members account for around 90% of the music sold in the UK. An acknowledged communicator and industry veteran of more than 35 years, Jamieson is leading the BPI through the most fundamental period of change in the record industry's history. In his time at EMI Jamieson ran companies in Greece, New Zealand and Australia before his UK appointment, and when he moved to BMG, he put his international experience to good use as Senior Vice-President, Asia Pacific. Jamieson left BMG to join MTV in 1995 where, as founding president of MTV Asia, he managed the not insignificant task of taking the world's most famous music television brand to the world's most populous and culturally distant continent.
