Keynote: The Honourable Sarmite D. Bulte
The Honourable Sarmite D. Bulte is the P.C., MP for Parkdale - High Park. Originally elected in June 1997, she was later re-elected in November 2000 and June 2004. In July 2004, she was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and to the Privy Council. She is currently the Chair of the Ontario Caucus and the Chair of the Prime Minister's Task Force on Women Entrepreneurs. Mrs. Bulte was the founding member and Director of Women Entrepreneurs of Canada (WEC) where she served as its Vice-President, International. She was also integral in obtaining admission of WEC into FCEM - Les Femmes Chefs D'Entreprises Mondiales - in 1992, an organization with 30,000 members in 35 countries.
