You've heard of Destiny's Child? Well, meet Destiny. Mathew Knowles nurtured and managed one of the biggest "girl groups" in history - Destiny's Child. He's overseen the solo careers of group members Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowlands and his daughter Beyonce, as well as that of American Idol finalist R.J. Helton, the Swedish group Play and his youngest daughter Solange. Under the aegis of his Music World Entertainment/Sanctuary Urban Group, he also manages such artists as Xhibit, Mary J. Blige, Angie Stone, Eve and Jadakiss. His latest venture: Sanctuary Urban Records, holds even more promise. A self-described "small town country boy," whose mother attended school with Coretta Scott King, Knowles came to the music business from a career in sales and marketing, armed with drive and values. Don't miss this Q&A with a consummate marketer and a student of the art of success.
