With tour costs soaring and sensitivity to ticket pricing painfully evident, sponsorships have become paramount in the touring and venue game. But sponsors have tightened belts too, and need proof that they're getting their money's worth. In a typical tour, logos benefit the artist, venue, promoter and tour manager. And with profit margins verging on microscopic, who can blame them for drinking deep from the corporate well? But how dependable is that revenue stream? In disputes, whose sponsor holds the hammer? This panel will cover legal issues of sponsorship and related issues that emerge when somebody else pays the piper.
