Video Game Music Forum: How Big Can This Monster Get?
Saturday March 5, 2005 1:45PM
Fairmont Royal York

With production values straight off the big screen, and games like Halo 2 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas pulling in numbers Steven Spielberg would envy, 2004 was the year video games left an impact crater on the entertainment industry. But what are we to make of this galloping beast as software sales pass those of the music industry? Can something this hot get even hotter? Or is "the wall" around the corner - with bricks made of rising expectations and inflationary costs for R&D, talent and large-scale marketing? This panel will discuss the demographics, business models and expectations, and consider areas of growth we've only begun to notice.
