Angelo Montrone

Or Music Director of A&R Angelo Montrone has an extensive background both in A&R and production. He began his career at Elektra Records, where he worked in and outside of the studio with artists as diverse as Anita Baker, Natalie Cole, Joe Sample, Lisa Fischer and Little Jimmy Scott. Angelo was also responsible for bringing critical favorites The Story to Elektra and subsequently bringing Jennifer Love Hewitt to Atlantic Records. In the studio he cut his teeth working under legendary producers Tommy Lipuma, Arif Mardin and Al Schmitt and has himself worked as a producer, engineer, keyboard programmer, arranger and songwriter. Currently Angelo works as both A&R Director and in various production capacities (engineering, mastering, co-production) with Or Music's roster of artists including 2005 Grammy Award winning Los Lonely Boys [best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal], Pitty Sing, Particle, Tower of Power, John Cale, Alejandro Escovedo and others.
