Arny Granat

Arny Granat along with his partner Jerry Mickelson, founded Jam Productions, Ltd. in 1971. After thousands of concerts, and years of hard work, Arny has survived in an industry that has seen many independent concert promoters vanish from the music scene. He has succeeded because of a philosophy he embraces for doing business ‚ by establishing life long relationships with bands, agents and managers and forging wholeheartedly into all phases of the live entertainment, sports and theatrical promotions.

Jam Productions is one of the largest and best-known major concert promoters in North America and has promoted a wide array of events over the past 33 years. Jam Productions, guided by Arny and his partner, have promoted a diversity of live entertainment events like the Rolling Stones; Paul McCartney; U2; Farm-Aid; Grand Opening of Millennium Park in Chicago; Grand Opening of Nike Town; World Cup '94 Chairman's Opening Night Gala; Inauguration Balls for two Illinois Governor's; rally for President Clinton; the inauguration festivities for Mayor Richard Daley and the Millennium Celebration at Navy Pier in Chicago. Arny Granat has also presented closed circuit championship boxing, live boxing, and professional tennis tournaments. Not to mention almost one thousand concerts each year. More recently Arny has been instrumental in expanding the range of events produced by Jam Productions, Ltd. by venturing into the ever-growing industry of Broadway theatrical touring company's. Formed in 1998, Jam Theatricals, Ltd. promotes and produces plays in numerous markets around the U.S., Canada and Europe. Among the productions on tour are such all time hits as "Grease", "West Side Story", "Fame", "Stomp", "Lord of the Dance", "Eddie Izzard", "Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python", "Puppetry of the Penis" and "Rent", just to name a few. If all this were not enough, Arny along with his partners also own or manage several concert venues in Chicago.

Among Arny's many achievements in the music industry is being named Pollstar's Talent Buyer of the Year and Performance Magazine Readers Poll Promoter of the Year. He has been honored by Who's Who of Leading American Executives, and has received several awards for highest single grossing concert. Arny is also involved in various boards and charitable organizations such as, Rock for Kids, Chicago Tourism Board, League of Chicago Theatres, League of American Theatre Producers, Friends of the Parks and the Parkway Foundation. Arny and Jerry have been featured in both industry and non-industry magazines as far back as 1977. Jam Productions, Ltd. guided by their visionary approach to promotions, continues to be one of the premiere concert promoters in the country.
