Charles Caldas

Shock Records is Australia's largest independent record company and part of the Shock Entertainment Group of companies, which includes Shock Records, Kaleidoscope Film and DVD, CD Fulfillment Australia, and Shock Music Publishing Charles Caldas has been with the Shock Group of companies for over 15 years. Starting his career in sales he then moved into sales and marketing management, then to general manager. Charles has been the Group CEO for the past six years. He has played a key part in the expansion of the company into international markets and new markets and had an early interest in the Internet and its possibilities for the marketing of music, which has led to the establishment of the group's latest venture, CD Fulfillment Australia, a wholesale and direct-to-consumer entertainment one-stop fulfillment centre. Shock Records has a staff of over 160 in offices throughout Australia and New Zealand and represent the world's key independent labels in Australia including XL Recordings, Epitaph, Koch, PIAS, Rounder and Sanctuary as well as a wide range of domestic Australian repertoire.
