Libby Biason

Libby Biason is Director, Corporate Partnerships for House of Blues Concerts Canada where she heads up an emerging division that specializes in creating a plethora of live music experiences that tie big name brands to big name brands. On a day-to-day basis, she builds made-to-order experiences for clients like Garnier, Toyota, American Express and Nokia, providing them with access to over 850 HOBCC live concerts, including all shows for The Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. As Canadaís largest concert promoter, Libby has begun to pave the way for brands to use bands to sell and market products across all demographics in every market in Canada.

Libby was raised in corporate Canada's tier one Consumer Package Goods industry. Her previous positions with Mattel and Cadbury Chocolate have provided her with the tools needed to build consumer promotions that use trade marketing to drive results. Whether selling $1m worth of Barbie products to gas channels or developing innovative ways to increase confection sales in a toy store by more than 200%, finding ways to sell products in non-traditional channels has been the thrill of her career. Libby has the experience and the creative mind to place products in places that you would never expect, and in places where the consumer thinks they have been for a very long time! She brings to the table extensive experience in contract negotiation and has run many successful national trade marketing campaigns and retail promotions for many consumer package goods companies in all channels.

Libby sits on many boards and charitable organizations providing sponsorship support and fundraising assistance. She holds a Post Graduate degree in Corporate Communications and Marketing Analysis from Sheridan College and a degree with a double major in Political Science and International Development from Saint Mary's University.
