Illa Schuette

Illa Schuette is associated with the music business since 1989 when she started working for an independent record label in Hamburg, Germany. Later she was instrumental in establishing the label division for TAXIM RECORDS.In 1993 she founded SKALDE MUSIK (www.skalde.com) followed by the label HERMAN's, a roots oriented label with a strong focus on the blues. The artist roster is made up of illustrious musicians like Kazu Matsui & David Lindley, The Metropolitan Blues All-Stars, R.L. Burnside's bandleader Kenny Brown, John Campbelljohn, and ECMA Blues Award Winner Charlie A'Court. Illa owns the design/graphic company HOLTHUS GRAPHICS and is art director for TAXIM RECORDS. Illa is member of the EC Music Group (www.ecmusicgroup.com).
