Jodie Ferneyhough

Currently holding the position of Creative Director for Universal Music Publishing Canada, Jodie's career has seen him work as an artist manager, festival booker and promoter, tour agent, product buyer and warehouse clerk.

Jodie's publishing career began at peermusic as Creative Manager, eventually becoming Director of Canadian Operations. While there he signed songstress Ivana Santilli and Snow co-writer Robbie Patterson. In 2001, Jodie was brought to Universal Music Publishing Group and has been instrumental in the careers of Sam Roberts, KOS, Theory of a Deadman and established Canadian superstars Jann Arden, Shania Twain, Daniel Lavoie and Avril Lavigne. He was named Canadian Music Publisher of the Year at the 2003 CCMA's, as well as being nominated numerous times for Publisher of the Year at the annual CMW Industry Awards. His artists have been nominated for or have received awards from The Juno Awards, East Coast Music Awards, SOCAN Awards, Country Music Awards, Much Music Video Awards and The Grammy Awards.

Jodie currently sits on the SOCAN board and the Board of Directors of the CMPA and CMRRA. Jodie has lectured at Harris Institute for the Arts, Trebas Institute for the Arts and the Canadian Design Academy. He has been a guest speaker and panelist at The Canadian Music Week and NxNE Festivals in Toronto, the East Coast Music Awards, the Music West Festival in Vancouver, the CMJ in New York and Concrete Foundations in LA. He has travelled extensively with various organisations to speak in such diverse places as Gander, Newfoundland and White Horse, NWT.
