John Manning John Manning is director of business development at Melodeo, Inc, where he oversees the creation of profitable sales and partner relationships in the fast-growing mobile digital music market. Manning brings to Melodeo extensive experience in sales, marketing, business development, and corporate finance. Prior to joining Melodeo in 2004, Manning was director of sales at Action Engine in Redmond, Wash., where he was responsible for sales of the company's client-server software to mobile phone operators in Europe. From 2000 to 2003 Manning served as senior manager, business development and partner management, with AOL Mobile, formerly Tegic Communications. Tegic invented and marketed the widely-used T9 text messaging software, and Manning secured significant T9 licensing, content, marketing and mobile instant messaging agreements between the company and top-tier carriers. Before Tegic, Manning spent several years at Hewlett-Packard in various sales and business development roles at the Hewlett-Packard European Marketing Center in France. Fluent in French and Spanish, Manning has an honors degree in management and marketing, as well as a master's degree in business strategy and competition, from the University College, Cork, Ireland. |
