Julie Kertes Julie Nakahara Kertes is the AC & Hot AC Editor for leading trade publication, Radio & Records, Inc. based in Los Angeles, CA. Her extensive radio career includes stints at Sports Talk KNBR/San Francisco, Smooth Jazz KKSF/San Francisco and most notably Hot AC KLLC (Alice @ 97.3)/San Francisco where she was Assistant Program Director/Music Director. Known as one of the format's creative architects, Kertes has been instrumental in breaking several artists at the Hot AC format such as Train, Dido, Nelly Furtado and Barenaked Ladies.
