• Past-President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Canadian Stage Company, one of the largest not-for-profit theatre companies in Canada, since 1993. Joined as a Director in 1988. Under her leadership, subscriptions increased from 8,800 to 20,000; in 1994-1995, the Company received 37 Dora Award nominations and was the first recipient of the Lieutenant Governorís Award for the Arts in recognition of arts organizations which have built exceptional private sector and community support

X. WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS AND ADVOCACY FOR WOMEN
• Founding member and Director of Women Entrepreneurs of Canada (WEC); served as its Vice-President, International
• Chaired the international conference ìLaunching Global Networksî at the Hotel Inter-Continental, Toronto. Conference included the annual Presidentsí Meeting of the global organization of women entrepreneurs, Les Femmes Chefs DíEntreprises Mondiales (FCEM), an organization with 30,000 members in 35 countries, and a conference open to male and female business owners hosted by WEC, the Canadian representative of FCEM ‚ April 30‚May 4, 1997
• Founding member and director of the Women Entrepreneurs of Canada Foundation
• Was integral in obtaining admission of WEC into FCEM in 1992. Prepared documentation for FCEM to enter the United Nations as an NGO and was one of FCEMís UN representatives
• Helped to organize the first WEC conference, a US-Canada Summit for Women Entrepreneurs in Toronto ‚ June 1992
• Appointed member of the Step-Up Program from 1992-1994 (a mentoring program for women in the early stages of developing business) sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and former Federal Business Development Bank (now Business Development Bank of Canada)

• Former Corporate Secretary and General Counsel of the Latvian Credit Union Limited and was on their board from 1981-1991
