Stephanie Pott

Stephanie's first step into the music business was 1992 as photographer, she then took to organizing a major jazz event (www.duesseldorfer-jazzrally.de) and jobbed as a publicist for jazz label VeraBra music group (Cologne). In 1993 Stephanie worked as label manager for small record label (rock & comedy) Made in Cologne/Wort Art. After 1 year as PR manager for recording studios in 1994, Stephanie took over the tv- and radio-promotion office north for independent record company ZYX Music in 1995. She built up a rock promotion department (for e.g. 'Velvel'/then Walter Yetnikoff's label), initiated compilations such as. "House Kisses" CD (KISS FM, Berlin). Being a musician proved useful for picking radio singles and editing radioversions for the A&R department. Stephanie was responsible for promotion tours for artists such as then successful boyband 'Caught In The Act' or Ray Davies (The Kinks). In autumn 1998 Stephanie switched to Hannover based record company SPV GmbH as promotion coordinator, tv promoter and video commissioner. One year and several freelance job offers from artists, record companies and managements later, she started her own business. Ever since November 1999 Stephanie Pott runs agency "Scout Promotion" (www.scout-promotion.de), specializing in management, tv & video plugging and helping artists such as Jimmy Somerville, Jeff Healey, Hanson or The Pretenders to major tv presence and chart success in Germany. Stephanie Pott is part of Mad Music Management, board member of MMF Germany, member of EC Music Group (www.ecmusicgroup.com) and an active jazz singer
