Steve Lerner

Steven Lerner co-founded Wind-up Entertainment in 1996. Under his guidance the company has carefully expanded its base to include recorded music, music publishing, band merchandise, and touring. Wind-up Entertainment is responsible for breaking such multi-platinum acts as Creed and Evanescence, and emerging stars such as Finger Eleven, Alter Bridge, Strata, and Seether.

Prior to launching Wind-up Entertainment, Mr. Lerner served as founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of Castle Entertainment, a division of U.S. based Alliance Entertainment, from 1995 to 1996. While there, he was responsible for the successful launch of the record label. Before starting Castle Entertainment, Mr. Lerner was a senior manager and head of marketing for CD One Stop. During that time, he also established Hard Core Marketing, a music marketing company hailed for its innovative marketing approaches. Mr. Lerner was also involved in the early stages of CDNow, serving as a member of the Board of Directors from 1998 to 1999.

Mr. Lerner holds a B.A. of Economics from Rutger's College and an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University.
