Steven Ehrlick

Steven Ehrlick is the CEO and Managing Director of The Orange Record Label, a Canadian independent music company that he founded in 2003 along with industry veterans Aubrey Winfield and Jill Snell. Distributed by Universal Music Canada, Orange's diverse roster spans several genres and includes Jakalope, Paul Brandt, Money Money and Billy Klippert. Ehrlick is also one of the executive producers for the Live @ Orange Lounge series of 'unplugged' webcasts for Sympatico.ca. Ehrlick has over twenty years experience practicing law within the music industry. He managed the Legal & Business Affairs departments for two major labels in Canada, BMG and EMI as well as The Enclave, a US based label in New York where he also served, at times, as the general manager, head of new media and head of finance. Ehrlick also managed the Human Resources departments at both EMI and The Enclave. He also served as the Managing Director of the Canadian independent label, True North Records in the early 90's. Ehrlick spent the first ten years of his career as a music entertainment lawyer and continues to practice entertainment law, currently a partner at Stohn Hay Cafazzo Dembroski Richmond LLP. An avid clay target shotgun shooter, Steven relaxes most weekends with a round of Sporting Clays or Skeet.
