Steven Scharf Steven Scharf's 36 years in the recording industry has covered areas of record producing, A&R, music publishing and the management of record producers, film and tv composers and artists. In 1991, he founded Steven Scharf Entertainment, a producer management company, and ventured with legendary music publisher Freddy Bienstock of Carlin America Inc overseeing Carlin's Film & TV Division. Since then, SSE has represented a wide array of international producers/engineers/songwriters/film & tv composers/artists, including producers & composers Mark Suozzo (Whit Stillman's films; 2003 Sundance Winner "American Splendor" and upcoming "Notorious Bettie Page"), Shane Faber (Digable Planets/"High Art" & "Kissing Jessica Stein"), Barry Goldberg ("Street Time" TV Series, New Percy Sledge CD), Michael Vail Blum (New AL Croce CD), Geza X (New Tyler Hilton CD), Askold Buk ("PBS Frontline") and Wendell Hanes ("Hip Hop Hope" & "Ghetto Dawg"). Steven also manages Darran Falcone (End Title Theme of "Street Time" TV Series on Showtime), Emily Curtis and Ali Eskandarian. Steve also represents Earth, Wind & Fire (End Title theme for Eddie Murphy's "The Adventures Of Pluto Nash Man On The Moon"), Ben Folds as well as a number of U.S. and Canadian artists for film and television. Steven is also a founding member and VP of the Music Managers Forum-US and a voting member of NARAS. |
