The Judging
Top industry experts representing agency, advertiser and radio station communities are carefully selected to judge the Crystals. To ensure full attention to every spot, there are two rounds of judging.

In the first, two panels of four advertisers, four agency representatives and four radio station representatives - from both east and west coasts - will conduct an elimination round.

The second and final judging session will be held independently at a central forum in Toronto. Judges will include four advertisers, four agency creatives and four radio creative programmers. This industry mix ensures credibility and fair representation across each stakeholder group. The panel will discuss, debate and vote on the final selection of winning entries. Their decision is final.

The Qualifications
All entries must have been created and aired on a Canadian radio station during the calendar years 2007/2008. Entries from previous years are not eligible for resubmission.

In the event that duplicate entries are received - from different sources - the first entry received will be accepted.

The Radio Marketing Bureau’s decisions regarding category and eligibility are final. The RMB reserves the right to withhold awards in the event that payment is not received.

PSA FEE EXEMPTION - NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ONLY

PSA Category entry fees will be waived if the entering company is a non-profit organization. You must include your Charity License number on the entry form to be eligible. Entries from a third party representative are not eligible for fee exemption.

How the awards work

FINALIST
• Advances to the final round of judging and goes no further
• Finalist certificate is awarded

HONOURABLE MENTION
• Wins votes in final judging and narrowly misses winning a category
• Honourable Mention certificate is awarded and entry is included in the Crystals CD

CATEGORY WINNER
• One of three trophy winners per category
• Trophy and Winner Certificates are awarded and entry is included in the Crystals CD

The Rules
ENTRY AND PAYMENTS ARE ONLINE ONLY
• Complete and submit one entry for each commercial or campaign entered.
• Ensure that appropriate entry fee is included.
• Commercial lengths must not exceed three minutes.
• Please ensure commercials are recorded at proper audio levels and remove all engineer slates.
• Any entries that are submitted in a language other than English should be accompanied by an English translation.
• Entries unaccompanied by entry fees or that fail to comply with these directives risk ineligibility.
• All entries will be retained by the Radio Marketing Bureau for use in the Creative Department.
• The entrant waives the rights of the commercial to be reproduced for not-for-broadcast purposes at the discretion of the Radio Marketing Bureau.
• Please ensure that everyone involved is credited.
